Alumni Exhibit
I observed this picture in the Art Museum. When I fist saw this picture, I immediately, recalled a Japanese Restaurant which I used to go when I was in Korea because the Japanese Restaurant used to have the wood wall. The wood wall on the middle of this picture is one of the features of this pictures. Not only the wood wall, but also the yellowish brick wall also recalled the restaurant. I feel calm and clean in this picture.
The light is an important factor in this picture. It seems early morning or sunset time because the light's color is yellowish. Through the light, I could assume the time when the author took this picture. Also the through the light, there is a shade of tree that I could assume there is a tree in front of this wall. If there is no shadow, this picture would be normal and dull, but the light saved this picture I think.
I think this picture's theme is tree. All materials in this picture are related a tree. First, the middle wall is made by tree. Second, there is a shadow of tree. Third there is a reflection of tree on two windows which are placed above the wooden wall. Because there is a same feature in this picture, it became special.
Through observing the picture, I could learn about how to observe and critique pictures. Also I could have deep thoughts about the photographer who took this picture and it was good chance to stand on the photographer's side and thought about why the photographer took this picture and what was the purpose of taking this picture. In addition, I could think about my photography skills as well.

Here is our campus between Kingsbury hall and Forestpark. The first picture is the real one I took and second one is the one I edited with Light room. For the edited-picture, I tried to make like cartoon because I want to show differences of edited one and non-edited one. I decrease the Black ratio and increased White ratio. Also I moved the saturation and contrasts. Even though the place is same, the atmosphere of two pictures is different. Each one has their own features. I like both of them.

My Selection
Their Selection
There is one same picture between my selection and their selection. I think the reason why they chose these two picture is creativity. I took a picture of my left arm with my hands and fingers. Because I was wearing reddish shirts and a red bracelet. Also I put reddish nail polish on my nails. I thought my arm is related the color theory topic so i took a picture of it, and my classmates liked it. Also the sushi roll picture is unique to them because the small plate and the Baja rolls are related to red. I think, Because of these unique things they liked these two pictures and mentioned creativity on the evaluation sheet.

When I saw the three pictures, the most attractive one is this picture. When I caught a glimpse of this picture, I thought the photographer of this photo used photoshop in this picture because there is another landscape in the background of a landscape. However, when I enlarged this picture, i realized that it was not photoshop but a poster of landscape on the road. This picture shows the rest of long journey and i could feel little windy in this picture.
It's focus is well-balanced anywhere so that I could look every thing in this picture clearly. Also the sky and the land rates are balanced as half-half, so the picture shows this landscape with long distance. The angle is really good to see everything and the light is not really bright but not really dark, it is normal light which is good to take landscape picture. All compositions are balanced well in this picture.
Color Theory
The reason why I chose red is I feel passion in this color and there are many red things around me.
For me, Red means
1.Passion
2.Love
3.Alert
4.Important
5.Fancy
